The Yale Book Award

Sponsor a Yale Book Award to honor a local high school student:
Yale Club of San Diego awards the Yale Book Award each year to outstanding juniors attending public and private high schools in San Diego. Recipients are selected based on the following criteria:

The student must be in the current Junior Class,
The student should be in the top 2-3 % of the class,
T he student should have leadership skills,
The student should be an “All-American” demonstrating outstanding personal character and intellectual promise.

This year we have selected "Benjamin Franklin," by Edmund Morgan as our Book Award.  We will be awarding the book to 24 high schools this year.  If you would like to sponsor a book award, please contribute $40, though any contribution is appreciated.  You may also specify if you want your donation to go towards paying the Book Award for a specific school.  Additionally, please also let me know if you are interested in presenting the Award.  It is not necessary that you make a donation to be a presenter.
