Games Night for IvyHour returns! Please join us for a Bar Games night at the laid-back Triple Crown Pub in Normal Heights. This local hangout has pool tables, darts, shuffleboard, and arcades! Hosts will also set-up our favorite board games at some bar tables... we've got cards, taboo, scrabble and much more. This event is casual, has no cover charge, and open to all IvyHour members and friends!

The 22nd Annual Coronado Bridge Run (and Padres Game)
John McHug, David Corner and the Mud Runners

For our last group training before the Mud Run, we welcome everyone to join thousands of San Diegans on this 4mile walk/run over the majestic Coronado Bay Bridge.  (This will sell out before race day!) Race fees are $35 and include a commemorative t-shirt, shuttle service back across the bridge, and a ticket to the May 25 Padres/Reds game. The Art of Élan in Concert (and post concert reception at the Prado
hosted by the Carnegie Mellon Alumni Club

 The exciting new chamber music organization, Art of Elan, is pioneering unique events and bringing back the excitement in classical music.  Led by Kate Hatmaker (violinist with the San Diego Symphony) and Demarre McGill (principal flutist of the San Diego Symphony) this evening features a one hour concert of  Asian themed music at Balboa Park's San Diego Museum of Art. After the concert, we'll regroup for drinks across the street at the Prado with the musicians. (No host bar)

Discover Cal (Berkeley) Lecture Series "Elections: What will it take to be elected in 2008?"
Hosted by UC Berkeley

Join us for a non-partisan academic lecture featuring UC Berkeley professors Bruce Cain and Dan Schnur.  Discover Cal is a traveling lecture series that brings UC Berkeley 's distinguished faculty to the extended Cal family and friends for provocative lectures in an informal setting. Cost is $20 (advance) or $25 at the door.  Event will take place at La Valencia Hotel, 1132 Prospect St. , La Jolla.

Join us for our monthly happy hour starting at 6PM.  Let's have a glass of wine amongst friends. If you get there a bit early you will be able to see the beautiful sunset and La Jolla ocean view.  Chef Clay has a great selection of appetizers for us!  The Lobster Bisque is delicious!  For newcomers, Happy Hour is a great way to meet people. RSVPs are not required, just show up and have a great time.

San Diego Youth Symphony's Spring Concert (and post performance VIP Reception)

If you enjoyed the beautiful music performed by Phillip Zhang and Michael Shen at the Harvard Club's Fall Event, please join us for Haydn's Cello Concerto in C, Mvt. 1 performed by Phillip Zhang. The Youth Symphony will also perform well known classics from Beethoven and Tchaikovsky.

Orchestra Seats are $25. Following the concert, you are invited to join the SDYS board and performers for a wine and hors d'oeuvres reception in Symphony Hall's Revelle Room (Reception tickets are an additional $25)

The Camp Pendleton Mud Run
hosted by: John McHugh (SDSpotlight), John Campbell (Campbell Networks), Brittany Catton (Armed Services YMCA),  Michelle Segal, Cal-Pac10, Dave Picinich (Ovation) and Kassie Eckhart (Cornell) and more.......

IvyHour's first Old Globe event of the year starts out with this delightfully entertaining comedy about young love, family expectations, and the promise of lifelong dreams fulfilled.  It is the perfect occasion to enjoy the warm summer nights in San Diego!!  This great package includes a wonderful wine reception directly before the event in the courtyard with other Theater Lovers.

The Merry Wives of Windsor  at the Old Globe Theater

Join your hosts and IvyHour for our traditional Shakespeare get-together. ‘Wives", a sunny comedy, is awash with wit, deception, and the fun to be had when one of Shakespeare's most beloved larger-than-life personalities, Falstaff, makes the mistake of underestimating small-town folk.

 There will be a fabulous martini & wine reception (with delicious appetizers, dessert, and live music) directly before the event in the courtyard.
